Covenant Enforcement Model
Last Updated: March 9, 2026
This page explains how Cordova’s architecture enforces the principles of the Cordova Covenant. By embedding values into system design, ethical choices become the default.
1. Compliance Engine (Hard Gate)
- Valid driver license, insurance, and permits
- Safety clearances such as vehicle inspection
- No disqualifying violations on record
If a check fails, the operation is blocked. Safety is non-negotiable.
2. Risk Engine (Guidance)
- Driver safety score, fatigue, and route hazards
- Cargo sensitivity and customer site history
- Community impact metrics
The system suggests mitigations such as alternate routes or extra training, with visible risk flags for operators.
3. Human Oversight
Dispatchers and compliance officers make final decisions. Automation assists and never replaces accountable human review.
4. Data & Privacy
- Personal data is protected and never shared without consent.
- Analytics rely on anonymized or aggregated signals.
- Drivers control what personal information is shared with partners.
- AI access is restricted to permitted data fields.
5. Institutional Memory
Every significant action is logged in auditable events (for example dispatch.assigned and risk.alert.triggered), allowing continuous learning and safer operations.
Result: The platform is designed to improve over time while protecting people and communities.
